King James Celebrates 10 years of Independent Excellence

Independent advertising group, King James recently celebrated its tenth birthday in style with 250 guests including staff, clients, suppliers and friends. Aptly themed Remember 10, guests rocked the night away to the heady beats of top musical trio, Goldfish while flairing barmen kept everyone well refreshed.

The evening was punctuated by speeches from founders Alistair King and James Barty, and the unveiling of a book designed for the occasion which captures the agencies journey and memories over the first 10 years. Two handcrafted swords were handed over to the agency’s first two clients; Michael Vale, Marketing Manager of the Cape Argus and Gavin Pike, Marketing Director of brandhouse – after knighting them that is – as a gesture of appreciation for their 10 years of unwavering support.

From a staff compliment of five, the agency has grown to become one of the top names in the country with a staff compliment of over 100, a group of six specialised agencies that span the communications spectrum which collectively deliver an annual revenue in excess of R100 million.
